ロンドンで画家として仕事をしていた時に、立ち寄ったスコットランドの織物工場のカラフルな毛糸に魅了され、絵筆を編み棒に替え、ニットの世界に入る。 その後、ニードルポイントやパッチワークの分野でも活躍し、装飾アートの第一人者と言われている。 ロンドンのヴィクトリア＆アルバート博物館での個展をはじめ、フィンランド、オランダ、ノルウェー、デンマーク、スウェーデン、オーストリア、カナダ、アメリカ、アイスランド、日本と、世界各地で作品を展示し、ワークショップや講演を行っている。 ケイフ・ファセットがデザインしたオリジナルプリント布は、キルト作家をはじめ世界中の手芸愛好家に親しまれています。

Working as a painter in London, Kaffe Fassett went to a　textile factory in Scotland. He was fascinated by colorful wool yarn. He changed paintbrushes to knitting needles and entered the world of knit. After that, He was also succeed in the field of needle points art and patchwork , he is said to be the pioneer of decorate art. He began with first solo exhibitions at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London . And Now, he holds workshop event and lectures in Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Canada, the United States, Iceland, Japan and around the world.
The original print cloth designed by Kaif Fasset is loved by the quilt artists and the handicraft enthusiasts all over the world.
